Bhandhani is the technique of creating patterned
textiles by resisting parts of the fabric by tying knots on
it before it is dyed. The quality of the craftsmanship can
be judged by the contours or kaff of the dots formed, as
well as by the uniformity of their size and spacing.
The tying is generally done by women and the dyeing
is done by men.
